La Comida
Nestled in the Mangrove Plaza strip mall, you will find La Comida family restaurant. One of the great old gems of cheap eats in Chico.
No one would ever call this fine dining, and it certainly is not authentic mexican food.But the food is extremely reasonably priced, and far better than you might expect for the price.
I, sadly, spent nearly 10 years here before I was taken here by a young lady I was dating years before I found my wife and settled down permanently to raise a family. Where I fell in love with the chili burrito.
The Chips and salsa are some of the best you can find, and they are all you can eat if you are dining in.
You can buy the chips by the 5 Gallon bucket for your next party, and the salsa comes in a large styrofoam container.
There are very few places you can feed a family for under $20 and be stuffed when you walk out.
